On Saturday 29 April Edinburgh will be buzzing with excitement as hundreds of individuals and teams compete in Edinburgh’s first fashion orientering trail. Participants will navigate their way across the city centre’s retail landscape in a quest to win big fashion prizes in Edinburgh’s first fashion orienteering trail.
In association with Edinburgh City of Literature, the clues have been scripted by Ron Butlin, Linda Cracknell, Allan Guthrie, Susie Maguire and Dilys Rose. Each route includes a mix of local general knowledge, fashion knowledge and good old fashioned common sense.
The person (or team!) drawn from all correct entries will be able to experience the Sex and the City lifestyle for a weekend – you can visit your favourite city centre stores in style by arriving in your open top 1969 Mercedes 280SL, which has kindly been provided for the weekend courtesy of Classic Car Club Edinburgh, spend £500 on a stylish new wardrobe at Frasers in the West End before checking into your executive suite at the five-star Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa. In the evening enjoy a gorgeous champagne dinner in Santini’s restaurant along with a complimentary bottle of wine. You will also have the use of Europe’s most advanced city spa ONE for the duration of your stay.

Throughout the day spot prizes will be awarded to contestants – just by taking part you could be dining in one of the city’s most desirable restaurants or picking out a new outfit courtesy of a chic boutique!
Entry is £8 per person or £30 per team of four (and will include a donation to the Festival’s nominated charity, OneCity). Please note that it may be possible to register for the event on the day but places will be limited.
The trail will start at 10am at the Omni Centre, Greenside Place and take approximately three hours to complete – depending on how many shopping stops you make. Keep checking the Festival website for regular updates on the fantastic prizes available to be won! Lloyds Bar and The Slug and Lettuce within the Omni Centre will be open from 9.00am on the morning of the event.
